there is a Chinese maxim: there are more pleasant to enjoy music with others than enjoying by yourself. It’s same for the arts. As a master of Chinese Calligrapher I always wanted to let more and more people knowing and enjoying Chinese Calligrapher.
This exhibition is more than just a display of my work; it's an invitation to our community to discover the captivating world of Chinese calligraphy. For many, this ancient art form may seem distant or inaccessible, but it's a living tradition that holds immense beauty and depth.
My aim is to bridge that gap, to demystify calligraphy and share its inherent joy. Each stroke, each character, tells a story – of history, philosophy, and the human spirit. Through this exhibition, I hope to offer a glimpse into the fundamental elements of calligraphy: the brush, the ink, the paper, and the 'qi' – the vital energy that flows through each piece.
I believe Chinese calligraphy is for everyone. It's not about perfect technique, but about the experience of creating, observing, and appreciating the beauty of written form. Whether you're drawn to the elegant lines, the meditative process, or the cultural significance, there's something to discover. I hope this exhibition sparks curiosity and encourages our community to explore and embrace this timeless art. I am also happy to answer any questions about the history, or techniques of Chinese calligraphy, and hope to promote future workshops to bring this art to more people.
