This piece was created using watercolor pencils and colored pencils. The inspiration behind it came from the afterschool trips I would take to Paris Baguette with my mom and my sister. It was during one of those times that I remember reaching down for a pastry and seeing just how happy my younger sister, at the age of eight, looked in the aisle across, gleefully gazing at all the treats laid out before her. I created this piece to try to capture the unaltered joy she had from such a simple thing. I wanted to showcase the innocent, childlike wonder we all once had.
