Bees and other pollinators are crucial to not only ecosystems but also our everyday life. The simple act a bee does drinking nectar is the reason the plants that we eat can spread and grow. Without pollinators to spread the pollen of plants ecosystems would collapse and most organisms would go extinct. Without pollinators, the majority of plants cannot reproduce, which would lead to many going extinct. All this applies to us too, the vegetables and fruit we eat would disappear, and the animals we eat don't have food either. All our food would be lost too. I was inspired about this importance of pollinators, so this painting makes a standard honey bee shown as important, as it contrasts with its environment and background. The bee is the warmth and brightness in the meadow full of darker and cooler colors.
